Adventure travel company Aurora Expeditions has unveiled its 2027-28 Antarctica program – a season defined by creativity, connection, and exploration. Featuring 34 voyages across the world’s most remote regions, the new lineup includes four distinctive itineraries and new fly-cruise options designed to bring travelers closer to the White Continent in less time.

The season’s voyages span the Antarctic Peninsula, South Georgia, the Falkland Islands, the Weddell Sea, the Antarctic Circle, and Patagonia, sailing aboard Aurora’s fleet of purpose-built expedition ships – Greg Mortimer, Sylvia Earle, and the new Douglas Mawson.

Among the season’s highlights are four new or revived itineraries that promise a fresh lens on the polar experience:

• South Georgia & Antarctica: Through the Lens, a wildlife photography journey guided by professional photographers.
• Antarctic Feast: Circle in Depth, a culinary voyage celebrating the flavors and stories of the Southern Ocean.
• Across the Antarctic Circle Fly the Drake, offering the thrill of crossing the circle with a shorter journey by air.
• The return of Southern Antarctic Realms: Antarctic Circle & Weddell Sea, a revived favorite exploring vast, ice-sculpted landscapes.

In addition to traditional sailings, Aurora is introducing “Fly the Drake” and “Fly/Sail” combinations, minimizing travel time across the Drake Passage for travelers seeking more time in Antarctica itself.

Each voyage will feature an expert-led lecture series with photographers, filmmakers, artists, scientists, and wildlife specialists. Guests can also take part in citizen-science programs, contributing to ongoing research in one of the most pristine ecosystems on Earth.
