India will require foreign travelers to complete an electronic Arrival Card (e-Arrival Card) starting October 1, 2025, replacing the paper disembarkation cards previously filled out upon arrival, according to Buying Business Travel Russia.
The form must be submitted online via the Indian Visa Online portal at least five days before departure. The requirement applies to visitors entering India for tourism, business, or study purposes. Indian citizens and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders are exempt.
Travelers will need to provide passport details, flight number, purpose of visit, residential address in India, and contact information. Once submitted, applicants will receive a confirmation, which must be either saved digitally on a phone or printed out.
Authorities emphasize that the e-Arrival Card does not replace a visa. Instead, it acts as an additional entry requirement alongside a valid visa for entering India.
