Israel Eyes New Air Links Between Tel Aviv and Krasnodar

Israel is preparing to launch direct flights between Tel Aviv and Krasnodar, according to Ksenia Vorontsova, head of the Israel Ministry of Tourism’s office in Russia.

Meanwhile, Southwind Airlines will resume international service from Krasnodar, with flights to Antalya starting October 2. The airline plans to operate the route twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays, with the current schedule running through November 21. Details about the winter program are expected later.

The reopening of Krasnodar Airport to passenger flights marks a turning point: the airspace above the airport had been closed for security reasons since 2022. Despite the restrictions, the airport remained operational, keeping its infrastructure and staff fully in place. From September 11, 09:00 Moscow time, the airport officially reopened for flight operations.

The announcement of possible flights to Israel adds another dimension to Krasnodar’s aviation revival, potentially reconnecting the region with one of the Eastern Mediterranean’s most popular destinations.
