SalamAir Launches Direct Flights to Beirut Starting December 2025 — Reconnecting Oman and Lebanon

SalamAir, Oman’s leading low-cost airline, is bringing back a long-anticipated route: direct flights to Beirut, Lebanon. Starting December 3, 2025, the airline will operate twice-weekly flights between Muscat and Beirut, marking a significant milestone in its expanding regional network.

The return of this route reflects SalamAir’s commitment to affordable, flexible travel options while supporting regional connectivity across the Middle East. For many travelers — especially the Lebanese community living in Oman — this is more than just a convenient flight; it’s a much-needed bridge between home and heartland.

A Strategic Move with Cultural and Economic Impact

“There is a significant Lebanese population in Oman, and currently, there are no direct flights between the two countries,” said Adrian Hamilton-Manns, CEO of SalamAir. “This new service fills that gap and supports tourism, trade, and business ties — all in line with Oman Vision 2040’s goals of boosting economic diversification and strengthening the logistics and tourism sectors.”

The flights will not only make travel between the two nations easier but also enhance bilateral ties. H.E. Albert Samaha, Lebanon’s Ambassador to Oman, called the new route a “vital link” that will enable closer cultural interaction and increased cooperation between the two countries.

Why Beirut?

Often referred to as the “Paris of the Middle East,” Beirut is a city that pulses with energy and history. With its Mediterranean beaches, vibrant culinary scene, and rich blend of ancient ruins and modern nightlife, it’s a destination that appeals to both leisure and business travelers.

For Omanis and expats alike, the new SalamAir route opens up an opportunity to explore one of the region’s most iconic cities with convenience and low-cost options that include Lite Fares and customizable add-ons.
