Accor’s Mercure brand has officially made its entry into Oman with the launch of the Mercure Muscat Hotel, located in the capital city. This debut marks an exciting milestone for the brand as it expands its presence across the Middle East.
Conveniently situated just 15 minutes from Muscat International Airport, the hotel offers easy access to key business districts and government offices, making it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.
The Mercure Muscat Hotel boasts 186 elegantly designed rooms and suites, offering a perfect blend of modern simplicity and sophistication. Guests can enjoy stunning views of the city, mountains, and sea, while the hotel’s décor is infused with design elements inspired by Oman’s rich cultural and artistic heritage.
In terms of amenities, the hotel provides a range of options for relaxation and recreation, including an outdoor swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, a modern health club, and a serene spa. Business travelers are also well-catered for, with versatile meeting spaces that can accommodate up to 450 guests. This includes a spacious ballroom with private access, along with three additional meeting rooms designed for smaller gatherings or board meetings.
Dining at the Mercure Muscat Hotel is a standout feature, with the brand’s ‘Discover Local’ programme taking center stage. The hotel highlights local flavors and traditions through its diverse dining venues. These include “The Valley,” an all-day dining restaurant, the casual “M Café” in the lobby, and the Asian-inspired “Yum Yum” restaurant. Owned by Castle Tourism Hotel Management LLC, the Mercure Muscat is the brand’s first property in Oman’s capital. Mercure, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2023, continues its global expansion with over 1,000 hotels currently in operation and an additional 200 in the pipeline.
