Air Canada is ramping up its winter 2025-26 offerings with an ambitious expansion across Latin America and Mexico, unveiling new non-stop services to Lima, Belize, Puerto Escondido, and Tepic. The move underscores the airline’s strategy to tap into rising demand for warm-weather escapes and lesser-explored destinations.
Starting this winter, Air Canada will resume non-stop service to Lima, Peru, with twice-weekly flights from both Montreal and Toronto. The South American capital—famed for its colonial architecture, vibrant food scene, and proximity to iconic sites like Machu Picchu—returns to the airline’s network, catering to both leisure travellers and cargo operations.
In a further show of strength in the Latin American market, Air Canada is also launching three brand-new routes:
Montreal–Belize City, offering access to the country’s lush rainforests and the renowned Belize Barrier Reef.
Toronto–Puerto Escondido, a hidden gem on Mexico’s Pacific coast known for its relaxed surf culture and golden beaches.
Vancouver–Tepic, Riviera Nayarit, unlocking a new gateway to Mexico’s increasingly popular Riviera Nayarit, with its mix of artistic towns, surfing hotspots, and high-end coastal resorts.
The addition of Tepic comes just in time for the completion of a new highway linking the city with Puerto Vallarta, slashing travel times and opening up destinations such as Sayulita, San Pancho, and Punta Mita for easier exploration.
This winter, Air Canada will operate more than 55 daily flights to 52 destinations across Latin America and the Caribbean, offering over 80,000 weekly seats—a record high for the airline’s sun destinations. The expanded network is part of Air Canada’s broader “New Frontiers Strategy,” aimed at diversifying its global footprint and seizing strong seasonal demand from both Canadian and international travellers.
With a blend of heritage-rich capitals, coastal retreats, and emerging destinations now in reach, Air Canada is poised to offer passengers a wider array of travel options and seamless connections throughout the Americas this winter season.
