Uzbekistan Airways will commence direct flights to Russia – from Samarkand to Nizhny Novgorod starting from May 9th, as announced by the airline’s press service. The flights will be operated on medium-haul Airbus A320 aircraft once a week, specifically on Thursdays.

Departure from the Uzbek city is scheduled for 9:20, with arrival in Nizhny Novgorod at 11:30. The return flight will depart at 12:30, arriving in Samarkand at 18:00.

The cost of one-way tickets starts from 1.81 million Uzbek sum (approximately 13,000 Russian rubles), while for the round-trip route Samarkand-Nizhny Novgorod-Samarkand, prices begin at 2.37 million Uzbek sum (around 17,000 Russian rubles).

It’s worth noting that since March 2023, Uzbekistan Airways has been operating flights from Tashkent to Nizhny Novgorod. These flights operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Additionally, the carrier plans to launch flights from Tashkent to Makhachkala in the near future.
