Koleje Mazowieckie has resumed its popular seasonal Słoneczny and Słoneczny Bis train services, offering direct connections between Warsaw and Poland’s Baltic coast throughout the summer. The services began operating on June 27 and will run until August 31.
The annual summer trains provide convenient rail travel from the Polish capital to the coastal destinations of Ustka and Gdynia during the peak holiday season.
Słoneczny to Ustka
The Słoneczny train departs Warsaw Zachodnia station daily at 6:16 a.m. and arrives in Ustka at 12:01 p.m. Along the route, it stops at Legionowo, Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, Ciechanów, Mława, Malbork, Tczew, as well as stations across the Tricity area before continuing through Wejherowo and Słupsk.
A standard one-way ticket costs PLN 75 (approximately €17.50), while students can travel for PLN 36 (around €8.40).
Słoneczny Bis to Gdynia
The Słoneczny Bis service operates on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. It leaves Warsaw Zachodnia at 8:08 a.m. and reaches Gdynia at 11:50 a.m.
Within the Tricity metropolitan area, the train stops at Gdańsk Główny, Gdańsk Wrzeszcz, Gdańsk Oliwa, Sopot and Gdynia Główna.
Standard fares start from PLN 60 (approximately €14), while student tickets cost PLN 29 (around €6.80).
Open Seating
Passengers should note that seat reservations are not available on either service. All travellers are accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis under an open seating system.
