Cordis Opens at Xi’an Airport as District Grows 2026

Cordis Hotels & Resorts has opened a new hotel in Airport New City, the rapidly developing district beside the fifth terminal at Xi’an Xianyang International Airport.

The opening adds a new option for travellers using one of northwest China’s busiest aviation hubs. It also gives Langham Hospitality Group’s Cordis brand a presence in a district designed around airport-led growth.

The hotel sits next to the visually striking terminal complex that serves the Xi’an and Xianyang metropolitan areas. The move forms part of wider development around the airport, where new commercial and hospitality projects are continuing to take shape.

The parent company, Langham Hospitality Group, said the Cordis brand had landed in Airport New City, highlighting the location’s role in the area’s expansion. The brand is positioned to serve both transit passengers and business visitors moving through the airport zone.

Xi’an Xianyang International Airport is the main aviation gateway for the region and a key link for domestic and international travel. The growth of Airport New City has been tied closely to that traffic, with hotels, offices and retail space following the airport’s expansion.

Cordis is part of Langham Hospitality Group‘s wider portfolio of hotel brands. Its arrival in Airport New City reflects the group’s strategy of placing properties in destinations with strong transport links and rising travel demand.

The new hotel is expected to appeal to guests who want to stay close to the airport rather than travel into the city centre. That makes it useful for early departures, short stays and business trips built around quick access to the terminal.

Airport New City has been emerging as one of the district’s most closely watched developments. With the fifth terminal now a focal point, the area is becoming a commercial zone as well as a transport corridor.

For travellers, the opening adds another international brand to the growing airport area. For the local market, it underlines how hotel operators continue to follow aviation infrastructure as China develops new travel hubs.
