Nice Airport Launches First Direct Flights To Boston With Delta Air Lines

Aéroport Nice Côte d’Azur has welcomed its first-ever direct flight from Boston, marking another expansion of transatlantic connectivity between the French Riviera and the United States.

The new route becomes Nice Airport’s seventh direct connection to the U.S. market and the third operated by Delta Air Lines from the Mediterranean gateway.

The launch continues a broader trend of growing North American demand for the French Riviera following the pandemic recovery.

Airport officials said a new direct route between Nice and the United States has been introduced every year since the end of the pandemic.

Passenger Demand To The U.S. Continues Rising

More than 300,000 passengers travelled on direct U.S. routes from Nice during 2025, approximately three times the volume recorded in 2019.

The airport said the continued expansion reflects both increasing interest from North American tourists visiting the French Riviera and strong outbound demand from travellers in Southern France, Monaco and Northern Italy.

The new Boston service is operated using an Airbus A330-300 aircraft configured with 282 seats, including 34 Business Class seats, 21 Premium Economy seats and 227 Economy seats.

The route will operate three times per week between 17 May and 23 October.

Delta Expands Presence In Nice

For Delta Air Lines, the Boston connection becomes the airline’s third direct transatlantic route from Nice alongside its existing services to New York JFK and Atlanta.

Delta has served the French Riviera market for 35 years and remains one of Nice Airport’s largest long-haul airline partners.

Franck Goldnadel, President of the Executive Board of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur, praised the airline’s continued investment in the region.

“We would like to extend our warmest thanks to the teams at Delta Air Lines for once again demonstrating their confidence in and commitment to our region,” Goldnadel said.

He added that Nice is now the best-connected French airport to the United States outside Paris.

New Route Strengthens Transatlantic Travel Options

Delta Air Lines said the route is designed to improve travel options for passengers on both sides of the Atlantic.

“Our new non-stop service between Nice and Boston represents far more than just an additional route,” said Eleonore Roger-Martin, Delta Air Lines Commercial Director France.

She said the new connection complements Delta’s existing flights to New York and Atlanta while increasing capacity across the transatlantic market.

The launch further strengthens Nice Airport’s growing role as one of Europe’s leading leisure-focused long-haul gateways as airlines continue expanding premium travel options to the French Riviera.
