Air France Upgrades Premium Meals on Long-Haul Flights

Air France is upgrading its Premium cabin meal service on long-haul flights, with the latest changes focused on improving the second meal offered on journeys lasting more than seven hours.

The update forms part of the airline’s wider effort to strengthen its premium long-haul experience and place greater emphasis on French-style onboard dining.

New Second Meal Service On Long-Haul Flights

Air France is replacing its previous snack-style second service with a more substantial Premium cabin meal served on a dedicated tray.

On overnight flights, passengers may receive an upgraded continental breakfast with pastries, fromage frais and granola.

On daytime flights, the second service may include options such as club sandwiches, salads and enhanced snacks.

Premium Cabin Dining Becomes A Bigger Focus

The meal upgrade follows earlier Air France announcements in February 2026 about expanded premium dining, including dishes created by Michelin-starred chef Frédéric Simonin on selected long-haul routes.

The airline has been investing in its Premium cabin as demand grows for a travel class positioned between Economy and Business Class.

Air France Pushes French Gastronomy Onboard

Air France says its long-haul catering strategy continues to focus on French gastronomy, seasonal ingredients and a more refined passenger experience.

The latest changes are designed to make the Premium cabin feel more distinct from Economy while offering better value for travellers who want extra comfort without paying Business Class fares.
