Azimuth Airlines Launched First Saudi Arabia Flights on December 6

Azimuth Airlines has officially begun operating passenger flights to Saudi Arabia, marking its entry into the Kingdom’s aviation market on 6 December. The launch followed the General Authority of Civil Aviation’s decision to grant the Russian carrier an economic license, enabling direct service into the country.

As of 6 December, Azimuth has been operating three weekly flights from Makhachkala and Mineralnye Vody to Jeddah. The airline’s expansion will continue next year, with an additional route between Sochi and Riyadh scheduled to begin on 3 March 2026, offering two weekly flights.

GACA said the introduction of Azimuth Airlines reflects the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to broaden international air connectivity and strengthen links with key global markets. The move aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to position the Kingdom as a global logistics hub, open new avenues for travel and tourism, and advance the National Transport and Logistics Strategy.

The new services add further momentum to Saudi Arabia’s expanding aviation sector as it continues to attract new carriers and invest in long-term international growth.
