Soho House Manchester has officially opened its doors, marking a major milestone for the global members’ club brand as it launches its first location in the north of England.
Set within the former Granada Studios, the long-awaited project transforms one of Manchester’s most storied buildings into a five-floor creative hub featuring a gym, rooftop pool, live music lounge, and a members’ restaurant. The space blends Soho House’s signature design sensibility with Manchester’s industrial heritage, creating a modern social destination for the city’s growing creative community.
A new chapter for a cultural landmark
The club occupies five floors of the restored television studios, with 23 bedrooms on the sixth floor, a two-bedroom private apartment, and an event space on the eighth floor overlooking the skyline. Each space carries Soho House’s signature mix of vintage furniture, mid-century details, and locally inspired art.
Yishay Malkov, Managing Director of Soho House UK, celebrated the launch in a post on LinkedIn:

Originally slated for a 2022 debut, the opening was postponed several times due to construction delays, but the completed project now joins Soho House’s growing portfolio of more than 40 Houses worldwide.
Layered luxury meets industrial heritage
Located directly above Mollie’s Manchester — the “budget luxe” motel brand designed by the Soho House interiors team — the new House continues the brand’s signature approach of layering comfort, community, and craftsmanship.
Mollie’s, which already operates sites in Bristol and Oxfordshire, occupies the lower levels of the building, offering accessible stays with retro-inspired design and elevated service. It’s led by Managing Director Matt Bell, who joined earlier this year, following the brand’s rapid UK expansion.
With Soho House Manchester, the group continues to deepen its presence across the UK while expanding northward — anchoring a new era of creativity, culture, and connection in one of Britain’s most dynamic cities.
