Avani has expanded its Australian footprint with the opening of Avani Living Queen’s Wharf Residences, a new addition to Brisbane’s fast-developing riverfront precinct. Designed to cater to both short-term guests and long-stay residents, the property brings 225 fully equipped suites to one of the city’s most ambitious new districts.
Situated within the Queen’s Wharf development, the new residences align with a shift in urban travel demand as more visitors look for flexible accommodation that feels residential but retains the structure of a hotel stay. Each one-, two- and three-bedroom suite includes a kitchen and laundry space, a format designed to appeal to corporate travellers relocating for projects as well as leisure guests wanting added convenience during extended trips.
Communal amenities include a lap pool, sauna and steam room, with the property positioned to benefit from the broader attractions emerging across Queen’s Wharf, including pedestrian riverfront walkways, entertainment venues and new dining concepts that continue to reshape central Brisbane.
Minor Hotels notes that more features will roll out through 2026, including dedicated wellness programmes and The Pantry at Avani, a casual food outlet designed for guests seeking convenient grab-and-go dining.
The new opening reflects Minor Hotels’ broader strategy to accelerate the Avani brand across Australia. Earlier this year, the company confirmed the upcoming Avani Mooloolaba Beach Hotel on the Sunshine Coast, scheduled to open in April 2026, as the brand positions itself for growth in coastal and urban markets alike.
With Brisbane attracting both domestic travellers and a rising international audience, the addition of Avani Living Queen’s Wharf Residences strengthens the city’s offer for visitors seeking contemporary apartment-style stays in a prime central location.
