Buddha-Bar Unveils First Hotel and Floating Residences on Dubai’s World Islands

In a landmark move for experiential luxury, Buddha-Bar Real Estate Development, a joint venture managed by Yieldhaüs, has revealed the design for the world’s first Buddha-Bar Hotel and Floating Residences, set within Dubai’s iconic World Islands.

The AED 3 billion (USD 816 million) project marks Buddha-Bar’s Middle East debut in an entirely new format, combining island living, immersive design, and the brand’s signature music and dining experiences. The development will include the Buddha-Bar Hotel, Floating Residences, and Buddha-Bar Beach, creating an all-encompassing lifestyle destination surrounded by the waters of the Arabian Gulf.

A Reimagined Island Experience

For the first time, the Buddha-Bar brand will extend beyond its famed restaurants and lounges into a fully integrated island resort. The hotel will feature 162 rooms, including an entire floor of branded residences, and is designed to merge Far Eastern aesthetics with contemporary luxury. The interiors will reflect Buddha-Bar’s signature ambience—warm lighting, ambient soundscapes, and a design language that celebrates tranquility and artistry.

Dining will focus on Pacific Rim cuisine, while the spa will offer a mix of traditional Eastern therapies and modern wellness rituals.

Floating Residences: Private Sanctuaries at Sea

Perhaps the project’s most distinctive element is the 24 Floating Residences, envisioned as private three-level retreats gently anchored off the island. Each residence will feature expansive living spaces, a rooftop deck with a jacuzzi, and sweeping ocean views, offering residents an unmatched sense of seclusion and serenity.

The Island’s Social Heart: Buddha-Bar Beach

Set to become the social nucleus of The World Islands, Buddha-Bar Beach will combine restaurant, lounge, and beach club experiences in a Mediterranean-inspired environment. Guests can expect sunrise yoga sessions, leisurely brunches, sunset cocktails, and vibrant night-time gatherings under the stars—all infused with Buddha-Bar’s signature music and mood.

Nabil Souhail, Vice President of Buddha-Bar International, described the development as “a convergence of our DNA – music, mood, and magic – with next-level hospitality design. Guests will be transported into a new dimension of sensory luxury at a very unique destination.”

Mohamad Issa, Founder of Yieldhaüs, added: “Partnering on the first Buddha-Bar Hotel and Floating Residences represents a defining moment for experiential real estate in the region. Our mission is to connect discerning investors with projects that transcend traditional property and become living works of art — and this collaboration perfectly embodies that philosophy.”

First unveiled during the Arabian Travel Market in April 2025, the Buddha-Bar Hotel and Floating Residences are scheduled for completion in 2027.

Once open, the project is expected to redefine Dubai’s luxury landscape — blending music, mindfulness, and modern design into a serene island escape unlike anything else in the region.
