Leo Express Expands in Poland with New Warsaw–Kraków–Prague Route

Leo Express is set to significantly expand its footprint in Poland with the launch of a new cross-border rail service. Starting March 1, 2026, the private rail operator will extend its existing Kraków–Prague route all the way to Warsaw, offering passengers a direct connection between the Polish capital and the Czech Republic’s largest city. The upgraded line will also include two additional daily services, further strengthening travel options between the two countries.

Ahead of this expansion, Leo Express will introduce a new daily Kraków–Prague train from December 14, 2025, with additional connections running on selected days to meet demand.

Passengers on the Warsaw–Kraków–Prague route will travel aboard modern Stadler Flirt trains featuring low-floor entry, full air conditioning, and 5G Wi-Fi. Higher travel classes will include complimentary refreshments, while on-board catering will also feature seasonal specialties such as gluten-free and vegan dishes, with seat delivery service available.

The operator will offer a four-class experience:

  • Economy Class: comfortable leather seating.

  • Economy Plus & Business: extra legroom and complimentary refreshments.

  • Premium Class: six adjustable seats in a quiet, private space, with personalized service, snacks, and beverages included—positioning the experience among the most exclusive in Central European rail travel.

The Warsaw–Prague extension marks another step in Leo Express’s systematic development of its Polish operations. The company has signaled openness to further expansion, both on commercial routes and under potential public service obligation contracts.
