Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) has launched an inquiry into an incident aboard a Southwind Airlines flight from Antalya to Moscow, according to AVIA.RU.
Media reports indicated that passengers remained onboard for nearly two hours without air conditioning, prompting the dispatch of an ambulance to the aircraft. The flight in question is believed to be STW011, scheduled to depart Antalya for Moscow on August 27 at 19:05. The plane ultimately left at 21:14 Moscow time.
Rosaviatsiya confirmed it has formally requested a detailed report from Southwind Airlines on the circumstances of the delay and the measures taken to prevent similar situations in the future.
“Depending on the adequacy of the airline’s response, we will decide whether to escalate the issue to Turkish aviation authorities,” the agency stated.
The incident adds to growing scrutiny of international carriers operating flights to Russia, where regulators are under pressure to ensure passenger safety and service standards amid heightened travel demand.
