LOT Polish Airlines has revealed the first look at its upcoming Airbus A220 interiors—aircraft that will begin joining the fleet in 2027 and redefine travel on short- and medium-haul routes. The new jets are designed to combine modern technology, comfort, and efficiency, setting a fresh standard for regional air travel in Central and Eastern Europe.
A Cabin Built for Comfort
The Airbus A220 will be available in two versions: the A220-100 with 125 seats and the larger A220-300 with 149 seats. Both feature a 2-3 seating layout, offering more space and flexibility than many narrow-body competitors. With 18-inch-wide seats, passengers can expect noticeably more comfort, even on longer flights.
Business Class travelers will enjoy extended service, access to LOT’s airport lounges, and increased luggage allowances. Economy Class passengers, meanwhile, will benefit from modern ergonomics and a quieter, more spacious cabin experience.
Modern Design Meets Smart Technology
Every seat in the new A220s will be supplied by RECARO, a global leader in aircraft seating. LOT has opted for the advanced R2 model, which features:
Lightweight, ergonomic design
Built-in mobile device holders
Individual USB-C power outlets (60W) at every seat
Practical beverage holders for added convenience
The aircraft will also debut Airspace by Airbus interior technology, bringing in dynamic LED lighting that adjusts color and brightness to match the time of day and stage of the journey. Larger windows will flood the cabin with natural light and open panoramic views of the sky.
Space and Silence in the Sky
One standout feature is the aircraft’s extra-large overhead bins, the biggest in their class. They are designed to streamline boarding by allowing passengers to stow luggage quickly and easily. The A220’s quiet engines and enhanced soundproofing will also deliver a calmer, more relaxing inflight experience.
Connectivity for the Modern Traveler
LOT has confirmed plans to introduce onboard internet, enabling passengers to stay connected with messaging apps, work tasks, or entertainment throughout the flight.
A Step Toward the Future
“Greater comfort, quieter cabins, and modern technologies will make every journey even more enjoyable,” said Izabela Leszczyńska, LOT’s Director of Product Development and Customer Experience.
With the introduction of the A220, LOT Polish Airlines aims to reinforce its position as a regional leader by offering passengers a seamless blend of comfort, innovation, and service.
