Luxury travel brands Abercrombie & Kent and Crystal are joining forces to create a new style of cultural cruising — pairing A&K’s decades of exploration expertise with Crystal’s award-winning onboard hospitality.

The collaboration will debut in August 2026 with a 12-day Italy, Greece, and Balkans sailing aboard the Crystal Serenity. Normally accommodating up to 740 guests, the ship will welcome just 50 travelers for this pilot voyage, promising an intimate and highly curated experience.

From Aug. 28 to Sept. 8, 2026, guests will sail from Rome to Venice, with an itinerary that includes truffle hunting in Sicily, pasta-making in Bologna, hiking Corfu’s Mount Pantokrator, and exploring Montenegro’s Blue Cave. Exclusive cultural access will include the Vatican’s treasures, Rome’s Church of Saint Lorenzo, and Ravenna’s Domus of the Stone Carpets.

The trip begins with two nights at the Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome Hotel, followed by life at sea in Crystal’s Sapphire Veranda Suites (or Aquamarine Veranda Suites for solo travelers with no single supplement). Guests will enjoy up to eight dining venues and bars, daily expert-led presentations, evening recaps with canapés, and the services of an A&K expedition team at a ratio of one guide per 18 guests.

Prices for the inaugural voyage start at $22,200 per person, with reservations now open.

Following the pilot cruise, 2027 will bring six more A&K cultural voyages, including sailings from Hong Kong to Yokohama, Lisbon to Portsmouth, Mediterranean itineraries, and a Canadian route. Capacity will expand to 125 guests per voyage, each beginning with a two-night stay at a luxury hotel and featuring A&K-organized shore excursions through its global network of local specialists.

A&K Travel Group, which acquired Crystal in 2022 and relaunched the brand in 2023, calls the partnership “a natural evolution” of its vision to create the ultimate luxury travel ecosystem — one where exploration and indulgence go hand in hand.
