Spirit Airlines is adding a new tropical gem to its growing Caribbean network. Starting December 4, 2025, travelers will be able to fly nonstop from Fort Lauderdale to Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, with Spirit offering the only direct service on this route.
Flights will operate three times a week — on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays — making it easier than ever to plan a long weekend escape to the Caribbean’s shimmering turquoise waters and soft white sand.
From Florida to the Caymans — and Beyond

The new service strengthens Spirit’s footprint at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, where the airline is already the largest carrier. By the end of 2025, Spirit is expected to operate over 100 peak-day departures to more than 70 destinations.
Importantly, passengers from more than 30 cities in Spirit’s network will now be able to access Grand Cayman via easy one-stop connections through Fort Lauderdale — offering a streamlined and budget-friendly route to one of the Caribbean’s most coveted destinations.
