Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced exciting plans to bring the Park Hyatt brand to downtown Vancouver in 2026, marking its first Park Hyatt hotel in the city and strengthening its luxury presence across Canada.

Currently operating as Hyatt Vancouver Downtown Alberni—formerly Shangri-La Vancouver—the hotel is undergoing a multi-million-dollar redesign to elevate guestrooms, the residential-style lobby, public spaces, and spa. The 119-room property, located at 1128 West Georgia Street, occupies the tallest building in Vancouver, offering sweeping views of the harbor, coastal mountains, and vibrant city skyline.

Located steps from Vancouver’s premier shopping along Alberni Street and a wealth of cultural attractions, the hotel promises a sophisticated and immersive experience for luxury travelers and World of Hyatt members alike.

The upcoming Park Hyatt Vancouver will join Hyatt’s growing portfolio in British Columbia as the fifth Hyatt property in the province, signaling a strong commitment to the region’s leisure and group markets.
