Located in the newly developed BLUE FRONT SHIBAURA Tower South, the hotel occupies floors 35 to 43 in Tokyo’s dynamic Shibaura district — just minutes from Haneda Airport, Tokyo Station, and Shinagawa Station.

Fairmont Tokyo offers a seamless blend of modern luxury and Japanese tradition, perfectly capturing the city’s unique spirit. Guests are welcomed in style by the hotel’s Chief Happiness Officer, Serene the Labrador Retriever, setting the tone for a memorable stay. The spacious 35th-floor lobby features lush greenery and outdoor terraces boasting panoramic views of Tokyo Bay and the iconic Tokyo Tower.

The hotel presents 217 elegantly appointed rooms, including 29 suites, with expansive floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing stunning cityscapes. Signature suites offer bespoke furnishings and curated artworks inspired by Japanese heritage, creating intimate and refined retreats. The interiors, designed by renowned BAR Studio, artfully balance urban vibrancy with traditional Japanese aesthetics, featuring art inspired by Kintsugi and weaving.

Culinary excellence is at the heart of Fairmont Tokyo’s guest experience, with seven distinctive venues reflecting Tokyo’s diverse food culture. Highlights include Kiln & Tonic, with wood-fired pizzas and seafood on a panoramic terrace; Vue Mer, blending French and Japanese cafe traditions; and Migiwa and Totsuji, offering innovative sushi and teppanyaki. For casual dining, Yoi to Yoi serves elevated Japanese street food, while the speakeasy OFF RECORD offers rare spirits and vinyl records for an intimate night out.

Wellness offerings include a 24-hour gym, indoor infinity pool, saunas, and the highly anticipated Fairmont Spa with signature treatments using locally sourced ingredients.

Fairmont Tokyo also features expansive event spaces, including one of Tokyo’s largest ballrooms and rooftop venues with breathtaking views, ideal for everything from grand galas to intimate weddings.

Omer Acar, CEO of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, highlighted the significance of this launch: “Fairmont Tokyo represents a fusion of Tokyo’s tradition and modernity and embodies the spirit of omotenashi — Japanese hospitality rooted in mindfulness and sincerity. It’s more than a hotel; it’s a cultural gathering place for guests and locals alike.”

The hotel’s General Manager, Karan Singh, emphasized the team’s dedication: “Together with our Chief Happiness Officer Serene and our ‘Heartists,’ we aim to make Fairmont Tokyo the social epicenter of this vibrant district — welcoming guests with warmth, authenticity, and unparalleled luxury.”

Fairmont Tokyo joins an impressive portfolio of over 11 Fairmont properties across Asia, including flagship hotels in Singapore, Jaipur, Jakarta, and Seoul. With more than 30 properties in development worldwide, this opening marks a new chapter of luxury and cultural celebration in Japan’s capital.
