Turkish Airlines has officially opened its largest overseas lounge at Narita International Airport in Tokyo, bringing an unparalleled level of luxury and comfort to international travelers. As the airline that flies to more countries than any other, this expansion reinforces its commitment to providing world-class hospitality beyond Turkey’s borders.
Located in Terminal 1 South Wing, Satellite 4, Gate 47, the new Turkish Airlines Lounge Narita spans an initial 800 m², with plans to expand to 1,500 m² in the second phase. The lounge can currently accommodate up to 105 passengers, offering an elegant and spacious retreat for those flying on Turkish Airlines and other Star Alliance member carriers.
A Blend of Turkish Hospitality and Japanese Elegance
The grand opening event featured Turkish Airlines’ VP of Sales Far East & Oceania, Ümit Develi, who highlighted the lounge’s significance. “We are glad to open our largest overseas lounge at Tokyo’s Narita Airport, offering our guests a space that harmonizes Turkish hospitality with Japanese elegance,” he said.
The sophisticated design of the lounge, inspired by Turkish artistry and Japanese aesthetics, incorporates elements such as traditional Turkish marbling art and a Mount Fuji-themed entrance. The ambiance reflects a perfect balance of modern luxury and cultural heritage, making it a standout among Asian airline lounges.
An Elevated Lounge Experience
Travelers visiting Turkish Airlines Lounge Narita will find a buffet-style dining area featuring a mix of Turkish, Japanese, and Far Eastern cuisine. A highlight of the culinary offerings is the freshly baked Turkish pide, made in a dedicated pide oven—the only one in any Turkish Airlines lounge outside Istanbul.
Beyond dining, the lounge offers relaxation areas, daybeds with apron views, a VIP room, and shower facilities for freshening up before flights. Business travelers can take advantage of complimentary Wi-Fi, flight information screens, and a dedicated workspace to stay connected.
Expanding Turkish Airlines’ Global Footprint
With the addition of the Narita Lounge, Turkish Airlines now operates seven exclusive international lounges, joining locations in Nairobi, Moscow, Miami, Washington, Bangkok, and New York. The airline continues to expand its presence across key global airports, enhancing seamless connectivity for travelers worldwide.
Passengers eligible for entry include Miles&Smiles Elite Plus and Elite cardholders, Miles&Smiles Elite Corporate cardholders, Star Alliance Gold members, and Business Class passengers flying on Star Alliance member airlines.
Open daily from 07:30 to 21:45, the Turkish Airlines Lounge Narita is set to become a premier destination for travelers looking to experience the perfect fusion of Turkish tradition and Japanese refinement before takeoff.
