Delta to Resume JFK – Tel Aviv Flights

Delta Air Lines has announced the resumption of flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) starting April 1, 2025. This marks Delta as the first U.S. carrier to reinstate this route following its suspension amid the recent regional conflict.

The airline initially extended its suspension of the route through March 31 due to security concerns. With the daily service set to resume on an Airbus A330-900neo, Delta says the decision follows a “comprehensive security review conducted in partnership with government and private-sector stakeholders.” The airline emphasized its unwavering focus on safety for both customers and crew, implementing enhanced precautions to ensure secure operations in the region.

Expanded Connectivity Through Codeshare Partnership

To enhance connectivity for U.S.-Israel travel, Delta has also announced a new codeshare agreement with El Al, Israel’s flag carrier. Under this partnership, passengers can book travel on El Al-operated flights from major U.S. cities, including Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale, to Tel Aviv via Delta’s website. This collaboration offers greater travel flexibility and convenience for customers traveling between North America and Israel.

Delta’s Commitment to Tel Aviv

Delta previously operated up to 15 weekly flights to Tel Aviv from cities such as Atlanta and Boston before the October 2023 conflict prompted the suspension. While the airline’s current schedule focuses solely on the JFK-TLV route, Delta has not ruled out the possibility of expanding its services based on market demand and future security assessments.
