LEVEL Welcomes Seventh Aircraft

This week, LEVEL proudly introduced the seventh aircraft to its fleet, an Airbus A330-200 registered EC-OHY. The new aircraft made its debut with a flight between Barcelona and Los Angeles. This addition marks a significant step in LEVEL’s growth strategy, enabling the airline to enhance its flight operations to America. For the 2024-2025 winter season, LEVEL has increased its seat offering by 9% compared to the same period last year, solidifying its position as Barcelona’s leading long-haul operator since 2023. The airline remains committed to bolstering intercontinental connectivity to and from its Barcelona hub.

The arrival of the seventh aircraft coincides with LEVEL achieving its own Air Operator Certificate (AOC), transitioning from a commercial brand to an independent airline within the International Airlines Group (IAG). The AOC and the fleet expansion underscore LEVEL’s ongoing growth and dedication to enhancing long-haul connectivity from Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport.

Rafael Jiménez Hoyos, CEO of LEVEL, stated: “The addition of this aircraft, the seventh in seven years since the company was founded, is a sign of the good growth that LEVEL is experiencing. With this new aircraft, we will be able to strengthen our current offer of flights to America and continue working to strengthen the long-haul connectivity of our base of operations, Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport.”

Enhanced Passenger Experience

LEVEL’s new Airbus A330-200 maintains the fleet’s existing configuration with two cabins: Premium Economy and Economy. Passengers in Premium Economy enjoy added comfort with increased legroom, footrests, and a greater recline angle. All passengers benefit from individual entertainment systems featuring over 400 options, including movies, series, podcasts, documentaries, and children’s programming. Additionally, free Wi-Fi for messaging services is available throughout the flight.

LEVEL’s value proposition, “Fly your Way,” focuses on delivering a personalized onboard experience. Through a pre-order platform, passengers can customize their journey by selecting from various meal options, snacks, drinks, and comfort items.

Continued Growth and Future Plans

LEVEL’s fleet has steadily expanded since its inaugural operations in 2017 with two aircraft. In 2024 alone, the airline welcomed two new aircraft, bringing the total to seven Airbus A330-200s. According to IAG, LEVEL plans to grow its fleet to eight aircraft by 2026, reinforcing its mission to connect Barcelona with long-haul destinations through affordable, digital, and personalized travel experiences.
