NEOS Air has inaugurated its first flight connecting Ostrava in the Czech Republic to Phuket, Thailand, with a stop in Milan, Italy. The new route, operated by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with 327 seats, runs from December 12, 2024, to March 6, 2025, offering six scheduled flights. Notably, ÄŒedok, a major Czech travel operator, has secured 120 seats per flight for its Thailand tour packages.
Expanding Connectivity Between the Czech Republic and Thailand
NEOS Air’s new service complements its other charter routes from Prague and Brno, significantly enhancing travel options for Czech tourists visiting Thailand. Čedok’s expanded offerings now include 5,940 seats across 26 flights between the Czech Republic and Thailand.
Additional Routes for Winter 2024-2025
NEOS Air’s expanded operations from the Czech and Slovak Republics include:
- Prague-Krabi: Operating from January 7 to March 25, 2025.
- Brno-Phuket: Running from October 31, 2024, to March 28, 2025, with the final flight to Thailand on March 20.
- Bratislava-Phuket: Scheduled from November 7, 2024, to March 13, 2025.
These routes contribute to a combined air seat capacity of 51,971 between Thailand and Eastern Europe for the winter 2024-2025 season, further strengthening connectivity and fostering tourism.
Growing Czech Tourism in Thailand
Thailand has emerged as one of the fastest-recovering markets for Czech travelers post-COVID-19. Between January 1 and December 12, 2024, Thailand welcomed 53,559 tourists from the Czech Republic—a 23.51% increase compared to the same period in 2023. By year-end, Czech arrivals are projected to reach 60,000, generating an estimated 5 billion Baht in revenue.
