In a first pet-friendly cruise, Margaritaville at Sea is set to welcome dogs aboard its cruise ship Margaritaville at Sea Islander, offering a unique experience for canine companions and their human families. The ship will debut its dog-friendly service on a six-night cruise from Tampa, Florida, scheduled from November 18 to 24, 2025.
The inaugural voyage, managed by the booking company Cruise Tails, will accommodate up to 250 dogs. Activities for the four-legged passengers will include puppy massages, costume contests, and dog shows, ensuring an unforgettable vacation for pets and owners alike.
Reservations for the pet-friendly cruise will open in December 2024. Passengers can bring their dogs aboard for an additional fee of $1,500, as detailed on the company’s website.
This innovative concept caters to families who want to include their pets in their travel plans. It reflects a growing trend in the hospitality and travel industry to offer pet-friendly services, and it positions Margaritaville at Sea as a leader in catering to this niche market.
