Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris is thrilled to announce the return of Thibaut Drege as General Manager, following his two-year tenure at the helm of Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace in Budapest. This marks his return to Paris, a city that holds a special place in his heart as both his professional and personal home.
“My career has taken me all over the world, nurturing my appetite for discovering new cultures and countries. Yet, Paris holds a special place in my heart – it’s the city of my roots and where I grew up,” said Thibaut Drege. “It is a capital imbued with timeless allure, yet ever forward-looking, and I am thrilled to be returning to this extraordinary city that has shaped so much of my personal and professional identity.”
A graduate of the École Hôtelière de Lausanne, Thibaut Drege brings nearly two decades of experience in the luxury hospitality sector, both in France and internationally. He began his journey with Four Seasons in 2018, when he joined the iconic George V as Hotel Manager. During his nearly five years at the hotel, Drege quickly earned the respect of the 600-strong team and infused the hotel with dynamic energy, creating memorable and unique experiences for guests.
“My time at the Hotel gave me a deep understanding of Four Seasons philosophy and its exacting standards of service, while working alongside a remarkable team of individuals – each driven by passion, expertise, and a shared commitment to creating personalised and ever more memorable experiences for guests,” he recalled.
After contributing significantly to the hotel’s success, including navigating challenges such as the global health crisis, Drege moved to Budapest in 2022 to assume the role of General Manager at Four Seasons Gresham Palace. There, he revitalized the property and led it to new heights before returning to Paris to continue his work at the George V.
As General Manager, Drege aims to strengthen the hotel’s international reputation while introducing new ideas, energy, and initiatives. He is dedicated to fostering a culture of kindness and empathy within the team. “Together, we will continue to nurture the unique, yet constantly evolving, character of this iconic hotel,” he stated. “We will continue to uphold the legacy and reputation of the George V, striving to exceed the standards of excellence that make it one of the finest hotels in the world.”
