DAMAC, one of Dubai’s premier luxury real estate developers, has announced plans to launch its own airline, “DAMAC Air,” marking a bold entry into the luxury air travel sector. Led by founder and CEO Hussain Sajwani, DAMAC aims to deliver an all-inclusive luxury travel experience to some of the world’s most coveted island destinations.
The new airline will focus on routes to Bali, Fiji, Hawaii, the Maldives, the Seychelles, and French Polynesia, catering to discerning travelers seeking exclusive, high-end vacation experiences. DAMAC Air will operate using Boeing 787 Dreamliners, an aircraft known for its spacious interiors and long-haul capabilities, enhancing the airline’s luxury offerings with comfort and efficiency.
Dubai’s aviation market, traditionally dominated by Emirates and flydubai, has seen an increase in boutique airlines aiming to carve out a niche in luxury travel. Among these, Beond, another emerging Emirati carrier, offers flights from the UAE to destinations like the Maldives, Zurich, and Munich, although it has faced challenges in attracting steady demand in the premium segment.
DAMAC Air intends to stand out by combining handpicked travel destinations with luxury services that align with DAMAC’s standards in real estate. The company’s vision is to offer an unparalleled travel experience that matches the opulence and exclusivity of its luxury properties in Dubai.
