High-Speed Rail Service Between Valencia and Madrid Suspended Due to Severe Flood Damage

The severe flooding across the Valencia region caused by the recent DANA storm has led to substantial damage to railway infrastructure, forcing a suspension of high-speed rail services between Valencia and Madrid for an estimated two to three weeks. This timeline may vary depending on the progress of ongoing repairs.

Due to flood damage, commuter trains on the Valencia Cercanías network have also been halted. This includes lines C1 (Valencia-Gandia), C2 (Valencia-Moixent), C3 (Valencia-Utiel), C5 (Valencia-Caudiel), and C6 (Valencia-Castellón).

Long-distance and regional services along the Valencia-Alicante-Murcia route are also suspended, as well as regional connections from Valencia to Albacete-Alcázar de San Juan and Valencia-Teruel.

Traffic along the Mediterranean Corridor has also been halted.
