Chinese Company Deep Blue Aerospace Sells First Tickets for Space Tourism Flight

Chinese private aerospace company Deep Blue Aerospace has announced the sale of its first two tickets for a space tourism flight scheduled for 2027. Each ticket, priced at 1 million yuan (approximately $140,000 or 13.5 million rubles), will offer passengers a 12-minute journey into space, reaching altitudes of up to 150 km above Earth. According to Global Times, the tickets sold out instantly.

The ticket purchase event took place live on the e-commerce platform Taobao, drawing an audience of around 3 million viewers. This is the first time a Chinese company has offered space travel tickets for public sale, highlighting the growth of space tourism in China. The identities of the initial ticket holders remain undisclosed.

According to Deep Blue Aerospace’s website, the company’s spacecraft will carry six passengers to an altitude of 100 to 150 km, where they will experience approximately 12 minutes of weightlessness and enjoy unique views of Earth. Additional tickets are expected to go on sale at a later date.

Deep Blue Aerospace is one of the leading companies in China’s commercial space industry, developing rockets and space technology to support China’s ambitious plans, including the launch of satellite constellations intended to compete with the U.S.-based SpaceX Starlink network.
