Direct Flights Between St. Petersburg and Muscat to Launch in Late October

Direct flights between St. Petersburg, Russia, and Muscat, the capital of Oman, are scheduled to commence at the end of October this year.

Currently, St. Petersburg and Oman are connected by 15 weekly flights with layovers in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, operated by Emirates, Etihad Airways, and Flydubai.

The passenger traffic between these destinations amounted to 8,000 people last year. According to the operator’s forecasts, this figure is expected to increase 3.4 times this year, reaching 27,000 passengers.

Omani authorities have announced plans to open a tourism office in Moscow by the end of the year and to send a representative to St. Petersburg.

Discussions about establishing direct flights with Oman at Pulkovo Airport began in December 2023. At that time, the airport was negotiating with airlines and tour operators from various Middle Eastern countries.
