Aeroflot has announced the launch of direct flights from Moscow to Bali, beginning on September 17, 2024. The decision was made following discussions between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto in late July.

Flights will operate three times a week using the Airbus A350 aircraft. Departures from Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport are scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with return flights from Denpasar, the capital of Bali, on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The flight duration is approximately 12.5 hours.

Estimates suggest that between 10,000 and 30,000 Russian nationals reside in Bali permanently.
