Rixos Hotels has ambitious plans for expansion in Egypt over the next two years. The company aims to increase its hotel portfolio, forge partnerships with other hospitality brands, and develop unique resort concepts, all while placing a strong emphasis on the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) segment.
Currently, Rixos operates 11 hotels in Egypt, offering a total of approximately 7,000 rooms. The majority of these properties are located in Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada, and along the Red Sea’s northern coast. All new hotels will be constructed from the ground up adhering to the chain’s strict standards.
Rixos’ expansion strategy includes six new hotels slated to open in 2025, including those within the Rixos Radamis complex in Sharm El Sheikh and in Alexandria. By 2026, the company aims to have a total of 17 hotels in Egypt.
In addition to its own branded hotels, Rixos also takes on management of renowned international properties. One such example is the Swissotel Sharm El Sheikh, which opened in late 2023. This unique hotel seamlessly blends the traditions of Swissotel with Rixos’s signature hospitality standards.
