Air Seychelles and Air Austral have entered into a new Special Prorate Agreement (SPA), allowing passengers to travel between Seychelles and Reunion on a single ticket. This partnership follows Air Austral’s decision to cancel their nonstop route between the two islands and aims to provide a seamless travel experience for passengers.
Under this agreement, travel between Seychelles and Reunion will be routed through Mauritius, offering flexible and cost-effective options. Customers will benefit from having a single ticket for the entire journey and their baggage checked through to the final destination, ensuring a hassle-free experience.
Travel Itinerary Examples:
Seychelles to Reunion via Mauritius:
- Departure from Seychelles at 09:30 hrs, arriving in Mauritius at 12:05 hrs.
- Departure from Mauritius at 14:45 hrs, arriving in Reunion at 15:30 hrs.
Reunion to Seychelles via Mauritius:
- Departure from Reunion at 13:15 hrs, arriving in Mauritius at 14:00 hrs.
- Departure from Mauritius at 17:05 hrs, arriving in Seychelles at 19:40 hrs.
Joseph Brema, Chairman of the Management Board of Air Austral, expressed satisfaction with the new partnership, stating, “It was important for us to offer an alternative travel option to Seychelles for our passengers. Seychelles is a destination greatly appreciated by Reunion islanders, and we hope to resume direct flights as soon as the financial and operational situation permits.”

Air Seychelles currently operates flights between Seychelles and Mauritius three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, providing passengers with various options to plan their holidays and connections.
