New airline AJet, a subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, has officially started ticket sales. Passengers can book their tickets through the mobile app or on the carrier’s official website. AJet plans to operate its first flight on March 31, 2024.
Originally established in 2008, the airline was named AnadoluJet. It aims to offer its customers “more modern, comfortable, and affordable services and become a leading low-cost carrier globally, further strengthening its competitive position in the market.” The fares for the carrier’s flights start from 299 Turkish liras.
AJet’s route network will encompass 93 destinations, including 41 domestic and 52 international routes, including the United Kingdom.
This summer, the budget airline, with a fleet of 95 aircraft, will fly to a total of 44 countries, and over the next 10 years, it aims to increase the number of aircraft to 200.
Even before its first flight, AJet announced the expansion of its network, adding routes between Istanbul and London Stansted Airport, Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, Ankara Esenboga Airport, and Rome Fiumicino Airport.
