Representatives of the Turkish company Mabtec Engineering and Consultancy are set to contribute to the restoration efforts of the Antonov Airport in Hostomel, as announced by the Bucha Municipal Council.
It has been disclosed that representatives from Mabtec Engineering and Consultancy recently visited Bucha for a working visit. The Turkish company specializes in the design, implementation, and management of engineering projects. Currently, the Turkish partners are in the process of developing a concept for the reconstruction of the Antonov Airport, situated within the industrial park of Bucha Techno Garden.
The restoration of Antonov Airport is anticipated to enhance both international and domestic passenger traffic in the initial years following the reopening of Ukraine’s airspace.
“We are interested in the industrial development of the Bucha community and are ready to collaborate. The airport reconstruction will be a significant step in the post-war recovery,” stated Murat Akpınar, the founder of Mabtec Engineering and Consultancy.
It is worth recalling that on February 24, 2022, hostile forces attempted to seize the airport by deploying a parachute assault involving 34 helicopters. Subsequently, on February 27, the AN-225 “Mriya” aircraft was destroyed in an air attack by Russian forces.
