This grim distinction emerged from a fresh ranking conducted by the tourism firm Holidu, comparing the average count of fatalities and mishaps at diverse locations with the corresponding number of visitors.
It’s worth noting that the majority of the destinations within the top 10 of this anti-ranking are mountainous peaks. In the second position is Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Scotland, followed by Japan’s towering super volcano, Mount Fuji, securing the third spot. The world’s tallest mountain, Mount Everest, stands at number four, while the Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest stratovolcano, completes the top five.
