Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen Airport has been honored with an award in the category of “Best Hospitality Initiative” at the European Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) + Hospitality Conference & Awards 2023, held in Bangkok on September 12-13. This recognition was reported by Buying Business Travel Russia.
The airport’s innovative concept, which allows passengers to sleep, relax, and work before their journeys without leaving the terminal, was acknowledged as the winner in the hospitality category for the European region.
One of the most prestigious accolades in the aviation industry was awarded largely due to the introduction of the Sleep Cabins service in the international terminal (ISG) at Sabih Gokcen Airport.
The Kepler Sleep Cabins are equipped with televisions, ergonomic beds, writing desks, charging stations compatible with various international outlets, speakers playing soothing ocean wave sounds with adjustable volume for relaxation, and tablet computers. Additionally, the sleeping units feature shower cabins, smart toilets, storage lockers, and terraces.
These sleep cabins are conveniently located beyond the passport control area. Passengers can book this service for €9 per hour.
