Air Algérie Orders Five A330-900s and Two A350-1000s

Air Algérie

Air Algérie has placed a firm order for seven widebody aircraft to support its business growth. This order enables Air Algérie to fully utilize the flexibility offered by the Airbus product range, enhance its regional services, and present an ambitious plan for transcontinental destinations. By incorporating both the A330neo and A350-1000 into its fleet, Air Algérie will benefit from operational efficiencies, including a 25 percent reduction in fuel consumption per seat and enhanced flexibility resulting from the shared features among Airbus aircraft.

The A330neo and A350 models also feature the award-winning Airspace cabin, providing passengers with exceptional comfort, ambiance, and design. This includes increased personal space, larger overhead bins, an innovative lighting system, and access to cutting-edge in-flight entertainment and connectivity systems.

The A330neo and A350 represent the latest generation of Airbus widebody aircraft. The A330neo Family is equipped with state-of-the-art Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines and can fly non-stop for 7,200 nautical miles (13,334 kilometers). As of the end of April 2023, the A330 Family has garnered 1,775 firm orders from 130 customers worldwide, establishing it as the most popular widebody aircraft family and dominating the short- and medium-haul market.

On the other hand, the A350 Family stands as the world’s most modern and leading long-haul aircraft family, powered by Rolls-Royce’s innovative Trent XWB engines, which are known for their exceptional efficiency. Capable of flying non-stop for 8,700 nautical miles (16,100 kilometers), the A350 Family has received 967 firm orders from 54 customers worldwide by the end of April 2023, solidifying its status as one of the most successful widebody aircraft ever.
