Supernova Airlines Completed Its First Flight

Supernova Airlines, a subsidiary of the Nova Poshta group of companies, has completed its first flight on the Riga-Gdańsk-Riga route.

The company’s press service has reported this.

It is noted that the aircraft transported 7 tons of international parcels from Nova Poshta from Riga International Airport to Gdańsk, Poland. Afterward, the parcels were transferred to trucks and sent to Ukraine.

The first flight was carried out in partnership with the Latvian airline RAF-Avia on an ATR 72 aircraft. Supernova Airlines plans to operate two weekly flights on this route, every Tuesday and Thursday.

Supernova Airlines was founded in 2021 and became the first Ukrainian company to receive an operator certificate during the full-scale war in January 2023.

The Supernova Airlines fleet currently consists of two Antonov An-26 aircraft manufactured in 1978 and 1982. However, the company plans to expand its fleet to four aircraft.
