PKP Intercity to Reduce Ticket Prices

From March 1, the Polish passenger railway company PKP Intercity will reduce the price of tickets by 11%-15%, depending on the train category.

“The introduction of lower prices became possible thanks to additional optimization measures and thanks to the increase in compensation for PKP Intercity in 2023 under the State contract for the provision of services,” the railway company noted.

It is worth noting that PKP Intercity has raised prices since January 11, justifying it by the increase in operating costs caused by the significant increase in electricity prices. The base prices of single tickets on Pendolino trains will increase by an average of 17.8%, on EIC trains by 17.4%, and on TLK/IC trains by an average of 11.8%.
