The conference of International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) takes place on 12–16 July 2020 in Tampere. The event was originally scheduled to be held in China, but the unfortunate situation resulting from the coronavirus led to a decision to move IAMCR to Tampere. The conference venues are Tampere Hall and Tampere University. IAMCR will gather over 1000 participants in Tampere.

Tampere Hall is Finland’s number-one conference centre, and we have 30 years’ of experience in hosting 15 to 20 international conferences annually, says Business Director Mika Nevalainen from Tampere Hall.
The city of Tampere has excellent hotels and other services within walking distance, a safe and green city centre and good flight connections. Conference participants can also enjoy the city’s abundant cultural services.
