Rossiya Airlines Won «TRAVEL FILM in Russian» Prize

Rossiya Airlines’ video tells the audience that travel is a special moment that blurs the boundaries of space and time; it is an adventure, creativity, dreams. The main character, leafing through the onboard magazine on the aircraft, dives into the world of her memories, filled with small stories, bright impressions and meetings, real emotions, close people and the warmth of her native places. The airline reminds you that wherever your flight begins, the main thing is what moments you live in. After all, traveling opens up not only the world around us, we recognize ourselves in them.

The international film festival «TRAVEL FILM in Russian» gathers the best travel films from around the world, created by both professionals and enthusiasts, and presents them to the Russian-speaking audience. In 2020, 76 applications from 22 countries were submitted to the festival, 55 films were included in the competition programme, and only 10 were awarded prizes.

Rossiya Airlines is the aviation flagship of the country’s tourism industry. In partnership with Biblio Globus tour operator, the airline created a large-scale network of interregional flights, connecting 13 cities of the country with Anapa, Simferopol and Sochi in 2020. A distinctive feature of this season was the performance of direct long-haul flights from Vladivostok and Khabarovsk to the cities of the Black Sea coast. As a result of its work in 2019, Rossiya was awarded the Skyway Service Award in the category «The best airline in tourist destinations».

The festival is interesting for film and travel lovers, professionals from the film industry, producers and potential sponsors, who will be able to participate in the creation of the next film, tourist offices and embassies interested in creating a positive image of countries and developing a variety of travel destinations. The idea of the festival is to combine the author’s international Travel films in Russian, as well as to expand the audience of foreign travel films among Russian-speaking viewers.
