Kazan International Airport Winter Flight Schedule 2023-2024: Exciting New Destinations

Starting from October 29, 2023, Kazan International Airport, named after Gabdulla Tukay, has transitioned to its winter flight schedule. One of the season’s highlights is the launch of flights from Kazan to Sri Lanka. These flights, operated by Red Wings, will take off approximately every 10 days starting from October 31.

Another piece of great news for tourists from Tatarstan and neighboring regions is the resumption of flights between Kazan and Phuket, Thailand. Both Red Wings and Azur Air will operate this route. These carriers will also continue their flights to Hurghada, Sharm El-Sheikh, and Antalya during the winter season.

Flights to Antalya will also be offered by foreign airlines like Turkish Airlines, Pegasus Airlines, and Southwind Airlines. Istanbul will have flights by Turkish Airlines, Pegasus Airlines, and Russia’s Pobeda.

Russian airlines “Ural Airlines” and “Rossiya” will offer flights to Egypt from Kazan International Airport on specific dates.

In a first for Kazan, “Aeroflot” will have flights to Dubai twice a week. Meanwhile, the Arab airline “flydubai” will operate flights on this route one to two times per day, depending on the day of the week. Another Arab carrier, Air Arabia, will continue its daily flights to Sharjah.

Flights to Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, will take place on Fridays and Sundays, operated by Air Serbia.

Regarding flights to CIS countries, it’s noteworthy that a new route from Kazan to Kutaisi will be launched twice a week by Red Wings. Furthermore, this season, the carrier is expanding its flights to Tbilisi, Tashkent, and Samarkand, with Samarkand being the first international route to Asia for Tatarstan’s airline “YVT AERO.” Flights will be available on Saturdays.

Additionally, passengers from Kazan will have the opportunity to fly to Taraz, Kazakhstan, through Scat for the first time.

Flights to other CIS countries will be maintained, including routes to Minsk, Ashgabat, Baku, Yerevan, Astana, and others.

The airport’s key partner, Nordwind Airlines, will continue its operations as it has in recent years, building a significant route network together with the airport. Notably, the airline’s transit flights through Kazan are increasing, and the carrier uses the airport as one of its primary hubs.

Nordwind Airlines has recently added several new routes. In the upcoming winter season, passengers can travel from Kazan to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Vladikavkaz, Grozny, Makhachala, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Kaliningrad, Mineralnye Vody, Novokuznetsk, and Tomsk.

Another key partner, “YVT AERO,” is also expanding its flight geography. In the upcoming winter season, the carrier will provide flights to Tobolsk, Saratov, Orenburg, Gorno-Altaysk, Saransk, Perm, Petrozavodsk, Murmansk, Kemerovo, Kirov, Nizhnevartovsk, Surgut, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Barnaul, Yaroslavl, Astrakhan, and with stopovers to Krasnoyarsk, Tyumen with a stopover in Murmansk, Grozny with a stopover in Saratov, Sochi with a stopover in Astrakhan, and Tomsk with a stopover in Nizhny Novgorod.

Aeroflot will offer three flights from Kazan International Airport per week to Mineralnye Vody and six flights per day to Moscow. “Rossiya” is doubling its flights to St. Petersburg compared to the previous winter season, offering two flights per day.

On the popular routes of Kazan to St. Petersburg and Kazan to Moscow, the upcoming autumn-winter season will also see “Pobeda,” Nordwind Airlines, “Ural Airlines,” Smartavia, and “Sibir” (S7) operating flights. In total, there will be approximately 15-18 flights to Moscow each day.

For the highly sought-after route from Kazan to Sochi, “Pobeda” will provide daily flights, and when considering the flight schedules of other carriers, there will be several flights per day on this route.

This summer, “Severstal Avia” introduced direct flights to Cherepovets, Vologda Region, which will also be available during the winter season.

In general, the winter schedule at Kazan International Airport for domestic flights covers around 40 destinations across Russia.
