From 2 December 2023, Iberia, the Spanish airline, will inaugurate a non-stop service from Rovaniemi Airport to Madrid. The route to the Spanish capital will operate twice per week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and will offer seamless connections to various exotic destinations for travelers. The direct flights to Madrid from Rovaniemi Airport will be available throughout the winter season.
“We are very happy that Iberia will be the first airline to launch direct flights between Rovaniemi and Madrid! The route will also provide passengers with smooth onward connections to, for example, the Canary Islands and destinations in South America,” says Petri Vuori , Finavia’s Senior Vice President responsible for route development.
The route will be operated with the Airbus A320neo aircraft. The estimated flight time is approximately 5 hours.
