FlyOne Launches Base at London Luton

Moldovan airline FlyOne has chosen London Luton Airport as its base to expand its operations into the UK. It will initially operate a route between the airport and the city of Chisinau in Moldova, with the inaugural flight launched on May 28th.

LLA becomes the 20th European destination for the low-cost carrier, which will use an Airbus A320 for the new service, which is expected to increase in frequency as travel restrictions ease.

Passengers travelling between the two destinations must follow the latest Government guidance both here and in their destination.

London Luton Airport has implemented a series of measures to keep passengers safe, which have been recognised by the Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Health Accreditation programme. These include enhanced cleaning, installation of hand sanitiser units and use of protective screens throughout the terminal.

Jonathan Rayner Chief Commercial Officer at London Luton Airport said: “The fact that FlyOne and has chosen LLA for their UK operations is a real vote of confidence in our position as one of the UK’s leading airports. Throughout the pandemic we’ve continued to serve a number of key routes for those who have needed to travel, it’s great news to now see the gradual re-opening of international travel.”
