Eurowings to Launch Flights to Sarajevo

Eurowings will now be flying nonstop to Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina, taking off to the Balkan metropolis from Berlin-Tegel three times a week on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays. An Airbus A319 will be deployed, so the flight time will come to just under two hours. The Lufthansa subsidiary currently flies to 19 European destinations from Berlin-Tegel, with the domestic connection to Munich being added most recently. Eurowings has been flying this route up to four times a day since May.

Sarajevo – the Bridge between East and West

The Balkan metropolis impresses with its vitality and warm hospitality, a unique mix of Eastern and European influences as well as peaceful side-by-side coexistence of numerous religions. The city of 300,000 inhabitants is multicultural in the truest sense of the word – mosques, synagogues and churches can be found in close proximity to each other here. That is why Sarajevo is also called “Little Jerusalem”. The compact old town, which is great to explore on foot, is a good starting point to discover the city and let yourself be captivated by its cosmopolitan charm.
