A Condor Boeing 767 landed in Christchurch, New Zealand, to take almost 250 guests home from there. On behalf of various German tour operators, with whom Condor has been working closely for decades, Condor has launched the special flight within a few hours and is flying to New Zealand, more than 18,000 kilometres away, for the first time in its company history. The flight will be operated with a stopover in Phuket, where Condor has set up a hub with over 100 employees, including crews, technicians and ground handling, and several aircraft in the last few days.
Germany’s most popular leisure airline is also flying in Australia these days: Several flights to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth are bringing hundreds of travellers back to Germany on behalf of the Federal Foreign Office. Numerous flights from Bangkok and Phuket will follow in the next few days, from where Condor, in close cooperation with the local German embassy, will bring well over 2,000 guests home.
In the past three weeks Condor has brought more than 74,000 travellers back to Germany. As part of the German Foreign Office Airlift and in cooperation with tour operators, Germany’s most popular holiday airline is supporting the largest return flight in German history with #homewithcondor.
