Ryanair has extended its long-standing partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for another five years as the airline continues to expand its use of cloud computing and artificial intelligence across its operations.

The renewed agreement will see Europe’s largest airline continue using AWS technologies, including Amazon Quick, Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, to support customer services, operational efficiency and employee productivity.

AI to Support Operations and Customer Experience

Under the expanded collaboration, Ryanair will use AWS technologies to power its website, optimize scheduling across its fleet of 647 aircraft and approximately 3,900 daily flights, digitalize pilot workflows and develop AI-powered applications for employees.

The airline also plans to expand its use of advanced AI technologies, including agentic AI, to improve operational performance and enhance the customer experience from booking through boarding.

Supporting Ryanair’s Growth Strategy

Ryanair said the partnership will play an important role in supporting its long-term growth strategy as it aims to carry 300 million passengers annually by 2034.

AWS said cloud computing, artificial intelligence and data analytics are transforming aviation by improving efficiency and enabling new customer services. Examples include conversational AI for travel planning, AI assistants for employees and real-time operational information for pilots and cabin crews.

The renewed agreement builds on a long-standing relationship between the two companies and reinforces Ryanair’s ongoing investment in digital transformation as it continues to expand its network and operations across Europe.
